Kristi
N. Elsom is an attorney and shareholder with FizerBeck,
practicing estate planning, taxation and
probate law. She is Board Certified in Estate
Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board
of Legal Specialization.
Kristi is
a member of the State of Texas, Houston
Bar Association, Texas Academy of Probate
and Trust Lawyers, Houston Estate and Business
Council, and Houston Estate and Financial
Forum. She enjoys addressing professional
conferences and social meetings, averaging
three presentations a year. Kristi’s
article "The Yin and Yang of Disclaimers,"
published in the May/June 2002 issue of
Probate and Property, won the 2002 Excellence
in Writing Award for the Best Overall Article-Probate
and Trust.
Having served
on numerous charitable boards and executive
committees in the past, Kristi is currently
serving on the F. Marie Hall Scholarship
Committee of the Permian Basin Area Foundation.
She is also a sustainer of the Junior League
of Midland and a member of South Main
Baptist Church.
Kristi
attended Southern Methodist University where
she received her B.B.A., Magna Cum Laude
in 1979 and her J.D. in 1983. Joining FizerBeck
in January 2002, previously Kristi was an
attorney and shareholder with Stubbeman,
McRae, Sealy, Laughlin & Browder, Inc.
in Midland, Texas.
