Ron
Webster is an attorney and shareholder with
FizerBeck. He received both his undergraduate
and law degrees (with honors) from Southern
Methodist University. Ron specializes in
the areas of tax-exempt organizations and
charitable giving, representing both tax-exempt
entities (public charities and private foundations)
and assisting interested donors in structuring
current or deferred gifts to charitable
entities.
In addition
to his law practice, Ron serves as an adjunct
professor of law at the University of Houston
Law School where he teaches courses on tax-exempt
organizations and charitable giving. Additionally,
he is a frequent speaker at continuing education
programs dealing with these topics and has
written numerous articles relating to charitable
giving and the operational aspects of charitable
organizations. Ron is the founding chair
of the University of Texas annual institute
on nonprofit organizations.
Ron began
his legal career at Fulbright & Jaworski,
L.L.P. upon graduation from law school and,
in 1979, Ron, along with Don Fizer and Roger
Beck, formed what is now FizerBeck.
