Roger Q. BeckRoger Q Beck is an attorney and shareholder with FizerBeck, practicing estate planning, taxation and probate law. He is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Roger is an active member of the State Bar of Texas, where he has served as the Probate Editor of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Newsletter, as a member of the Inheritance Tax Committee and as a contributing author to the Texas Estate Administration Volume of the State Bar of Texas. He is also a member of the College of State Bar of Texas, a member of the Tax Section and the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, and is an active member of the American Bar Association as a member of its Taxation, and the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Sections. Further, he is a member of the Probate and the Tax Law Sections of the Houston Bar Association. Roger is also a former Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Houston Law Center.

Roger is a Fellow of: the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel; the American Bar Foundation; the Texas Bar Foundation; and the Houston Bar Foundation. Roger has also been selected and is currently listed as a Texas Super Lawyer (Estate Planning and Probate) and as one of The Best Lawyers in America (Trusts and Estates).

Roger received his B.B.A. from Southern Methodist University in 1970, and his J.D. from Southern Methodist University in 1974 (Order of the Coif, Phi Delta Phi, Law Review and Barristers). Roger began his legal career at Fulbright & Jaworski, L.L.P. upon graduation from law school and, in 1979, Roger, Don Fizer and Ron Webster formed what is now FizerBeck.
